Garden View is located on the first floor via a direct entrance.
The room is a small private apartment with a bright 14 sqm room with a sloping ceiling and a large skylight.
In the room, there is a freshly made double bed with extra-long duvets and two pillows per person. At the other end of the room, there is a table and chairs where you can eat, work, play games, or do other activities.
If an extra bed is needed, it is discreetly hidden next to the dining table and is very easy to find. Between the room and the bathroom, there is a small hallway where the kitchenette is located.
It is always ready for you to make a cup of Nespresso/tea when you arrive. If breakfast is ordered, it will be ready in the fridge/freezer, so the next morning is taken care of.
The bathroom is large and bright with a sloping ceiling and skylight. There is a shower with a view and a washer/dryer available. There are always two towels per person, plus an extra hand towel.
We take pride in always having inviting and clean rooms and that everything works. If there is something that does not meet expectations, please come to us immediately. You can either call/SMS or come to us as we live in the same building. There will often be seasonal flowers and branches in the room.
When you order breakfast from us, you eat in your room in completely private surroundings.
We prepare the food and place it in the fridge before your arrival.
In the morning, you just need to heat the rolls and breakfast cakes while coffee and tea are brewed. The rest is ready to serve.
Enjoy your meal.
The farm, with its current buildings, has been here between hills and streams since the late 1800s. In the beginning, the houses were thatched, and there was an extra wing to the north that contained a horse stable. Around the 1920s, the main house was raised and got a solid roof with a beautiful two-bay gable facing the courtyard.
In 2003, we built a similar gable facing the garden, creating space for rooms on the first floor. The farm has been run as a traditional farm with fields around the houses.
Around the 1960s, this form of farming was no longer profitable in Denmark, and the farm became a residence with empty outbuildings.
When we arrived, the farm had been rented out for many years, and only the outer shell and the good location remained. Over the years, we have renovated a small part at a time.
In addition to the main house, the large barn to the west has been straightened and got a new roof. The stable along the road was originally a low cow and pig stable.
In 2013, this was replaced with a new building that now contains a sports and spa area and ongoing construction of new rooms. In 2020, the greenhouse was added as a silver wedding gift from Peter to Lone. Krogsgaard got its current name in 1997 when we moved in.
We are Lone and Peter Krogsgaard, who love our part-time renovation life here at Krogsgaard, where we have lived since 1997. In our civilian lives, Lone is a teacher and Peter is a civil engineer, but since 2022, we have had a Bed & Breakfast here.
From the beginning here in Tostrup, we have wanted to renovate our home to preserve the style of the farm and add what we wanted. We are both good at coming up with ideas.
Peter designs and builds almost everything himself. Lone supplements with new ideas along the way and is responsible for colors, decor, and the garden. We greatly enjoy the peace here in the countryside and hope you as guests will feel at home during your stay.
